MISSION: HAITI is dedicated to glorifying God and transforming lives through our service to people in Haiti.
Our Core Values
Keeping our eyes on Christ, the author and perfector of our faith, the Gospel is always central and primary in every undertaking.
All projects are identified, planned and executed in partnership with the church in Haiti.
Maintaining relationships with churches and individual sponsors through reports and documentation of progress and projects.
Developing trusting and supportive relationships both in the U.S. and Haiti.
Going in the manner and the name of Jesus Christ, to serve not to be served, to bring glory to God by showing his love, mercy and the humility taught to us by Jesus Christ.
MISSION: HAITI will serve God by serving the people of Haiti through the preparation and sending of purposeful, well-equipped teams and individuals to assist with education, medical care, nutritional needs and disaster relief. In conjunction with the FL-GA District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and workers in the field we will identify and support well-researched and planned self-sufficiency and humanitarian aid projects.
MISSION: HAITI will effectively partner with other accountable agencies, individuals or organizations to accomplish its goals and objectives.
MISSION: HAITI will always keep the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ central and foremost in all its endeavors so that the lives of team members as well as those served may be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
In 1999 the FL-GA District of The Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod saw the need to help support the growing Lutheran Church in Haiti and formed an independent 501(c)3 organization. Advised by and accountable to the FL-GA District of The LC-MS, MISSION: HAITI networks with other mission societies and humanitarian organizations to provide support, assistance, disaster relief, medical care, education opportunities, and develop self-sufficiency projects administered through the Lutheran churches of Haiti. Since its role as a medical relief provider and central organizer for relief supplies after the 2008 hurricanes and 2010 earthquake, MISSION: HAITI continues to coordinate short term missions and develop new projects seeking to connect individuals and congregations in the U.S. with people in Haiti. We believe that presenting the Gospel of Christ with our words and our work will bring glory to God and transformation to the lives of those giving and receiving the ministry of God’s mercy.
Mission: Haiti is a faith based 501c3 non-profit, tax exempt corporation that grew out of the Florida-Georgia District of the Lutheran Church. It is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs and files an annual report with the State of Florida, which can be viewed on that website. Mission: Haiti promotes self-sufficiency projects, medical care, nutritional and educational programs, and health education for children and families.
Mission: Haiti has been working in Haiti since 1999, so it seemed natural to respond to the great need after the earthquake. Disaster relief supplies came in from all over the US and several foreign countries to fill fourteen 40 shipping containers. Through our combined efforts, relief supplies reached more that 6 different Haitian organizations serving the most needy. Our medical teams to Leogane and Gonaives treated more than two thousand injured and sick.
MIssion: Haiti is dedicated to the long term success of the Haitian people, and has various projects underway throughout the year. To get involved, make a contribution or donation, sponsor a project or inquire, please click here.
